Q&A
What is Indie Autism? Indie Autism™ is an informational and lifestyle blog with a mission of sharing content on Applied Behavior Analysis-ABA and autism. The other intent of this blog is to give tips to help families save time and money. A child with special needs often requires costly and lengthy therapy sessions. If I can help a family free up a few minutes, or dollars, I’m on the right path. 🙂
Why ‘Indie’ Autism? According to Merrium-Webster dictionary, the term ‘indie’ has dual meanings. First of which is…one that is independent. I feel as though many families who have been given a diagnosis of autism for their child feel as though they are on a solo journey and hence the name.
Why did you start Indie Autism™? In my work providing ABA therapy, I have met many families. Many seem overwhelmed by their child’s autism diagnosis. As an ABA professional and a life-hack parent, my hope is for Indie Autism to be a resource that will enlighten and ease your days.
