With seasonal change, comes a change in bedding. Our warm, poufy comforter gets stored away, a patterned coverlet in its place. However, the cold blasts from the overhead A/C vent, has me huddling underneath it most Summer nights. It was time I begin an online search for a cozy, comforter style, blanket. I landed on the Ecopure™ Filled Blanket. Even though it’s labeled a blanket, it has a fluffy, comforter vibe, Read on for my honest review of my pick for the best cotton blanket for Summer…available at Walmart ™. 🙂

Why I Like It
The world of blankets is vast but, for me, it was easy to narrow down the choices. Don’t we all love the feel of hotel bedding? I’ve done my best to replicate this with our bedding…from the bed sheets, to the pillows. Now I can say I scored in the blanket department. It was a gamble because with bedding, you really don’t know until you’ve literally, uh…spent the night with it. The package label describes the EcoPure™ Filled Blankets as ‘Soft and Comfortable’. I can’t say I disagree.
Hotel Bedding Feel-Yet Affordable
Cotton is a natural fiber and provides a cooling effect when the temperatures climb. The blanket cover is 100% cotton fabric for added softness and ideal for those sensitive to textures. This aspect normally comes with a higher price tag. However, the EcoPure™ blankets are currently marked down: approximately $45 for Twin, $63 for Queen, and $70 for King sizes. Very reasonably priced for the time being and it ships FREE.
Adds An Element of Style
Another reason I wanted a comforter-style blanket, other than the warmth, is the overall look on the bed. Since they have some weight to them, they lay nicely on your bed giving it a neat and smooth appearance. There are four color choices available: white, cream, dark gray, and pink. It easily tucks into a duvet cover (tried it!) to complement any color scheme.
Easy to Care For
Caring for a blanket/comforter normally requires a costly trip to the dry cleaners. I was shocked when the king-size I ordered arrived in a 18”x 5”x 15” box. I read on the manufacturers label, this blanket is machine-washable. So, into the washing machine it went. It held up perfectly after a washing as well as a run through the dryer.
Sustainability Sourced
Bed sheets made from bamboo and now blankets made from bottles? Ecopure™ appears to be taking cues from other eco-friendly companies. Method™ is a soap company whose plastic dispensers are partly made from water bottles left on our beaches. Turns out 30 percent of the polyester fiberfill is from plastic bottles. Another plus in my book as far as this blanket goes.
I feel this bedding delivers what its’ labeling claims. An all-season, soft, lightweight, warm, blanket. Take advantage of this well-researched find. Grab one for your family or for overnight guests before they’re gone!
